Dear Departing Southern Territory Officers,

As you prepare to leave this office or retire from active service, IT will now coordinate performing some processes on your equipment and user account to prepare you to farewell.

If you are appointed to another location in the USA Southern Territory.

  1. Your Notebook will stay connected to the SAUSS Domain. Your Outlook email and OneDrive will stay the same. Please send an email to USSHelpDesk@uss.salvationarmy.org with your actual departure date.
  2. Your Directory Location, Position Title and access to apps and resources will automatically be updated on the official move date.
  3. Documents to be left for your successor can be communicated by sharing a OneDrive Folder or leaving it in the Office Share (O:/ Drive) Please reply if you need assistance.
  4. Cell Phone Numbers are typically tied to the position and should be left at the appointment. You may coordinate with your current or next appointment for communication while traveling. If necessary, we may be able to provide a loaner phone that can be returned to us by shipping / mail.

You may continue to use the SAUSS Portal to access apps, resources, links and mailboxes within the USA Southern Territory.

If you are retiring from Active Service.

Thank you for your service! You may take your present computer and docking station if desired (As long as if it was purchased more than 1 year before retirement). We are happy to work with you to get your notebook properly disconnected from the SAUSS network. This ensures that you have full administrator access to your personal desktop, documents, pictures, music and videos once you leave our domain and the OneDrive for Business environment. Please review below as we outline the changes that will be made to your computer and your SAUSS Domain account.

We will complete the following before you leave the command:

  1. Please send an email to USSHelpDesk@uss.salvationarmy.org with your actual departure date.
  2. Remove your computer from our SAUSS Domain (Corporate Authentication)
  3. Cell Phone Numbers are typically tied to the position and should be left at the appointment. You may coordinate with a local carrier to establish service and transfer your content before departure.
  4. Change the license on your SAUSS AD Account Office 365 license from E3 to E1, we will change your computer user account to a Local Administrator with the password you choose
  5. Remove the subscription / Office 365 Version of Microsoft Office 2016 Products and replace them with Office 2010. You may also use Office 365 E1 online only at http://office.sauss.net
  6. Remove All Licensed Software that is departmental use; For example: MediaShout Site License, Colorbar, ProPresenter, Adobe Creative Cloud assigned to the department
  7. IBM Lotus Notes Client and Outlook Client will be removed, you will access your email using Outlook on the Web at http://outlook.sauss.net using your current credentials.
  8. Change the Windows Operating System from Enterprise to Professional

If you are appointed to another Territory

Each territory has a different network domain. Before you leave your current office, there are a few steps we may need to take to make it easy for your next command to get you connected.
This ensures that you have full administrator access to your personal desktop, documents, pictures, music and videos once you leave our domain and the SAUSS OneDrive for Business environment. Please review this message as we outline the changes that will be made to your computer and your SAUSS Domain account.

We will complete the following before you leave the command:
